Behind the Words

I'm a 20-year-old student, born in Worcester, best known for it's sauce or being 'near Birmingham'. Not much happens to people from where I'm from, and I want to change that.

Ever since I was a young girl I have been infatuated with music and superstars. When I turned a teenager I was fascinated with Justin Bieber and One Direction, like most girls my age.

Years later, I have turned this 'obsession' into a future career - when I was 14 I was trying to meet One Direction at radio shows and only a few years later, I stood at a private concert for Harry Styles' fans at the BBC under press access. I have been motivated by what I have grown up interested in and have shown resilience and determination to do what I love.

I aim to gain as much work experience within the industry as much as I can over the next few years – I’m willing to do anything and everything , from running to researching, making cups of tea to calling press offices – and meet anyone and everyone to be where I want to be.

I have numerous NCTJ qualifications; including Media Law and teeline shorthand.
